About Me
My name is Nicole Sierra, I am an undergraduate research student majoring in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. I was appointed to the San Diego State University Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program in August 2022. I currently am conducting research in Dr. Sohl's lab, where I am studying how changes in enzymes occur in health and disease, by using kinetics and IDH1 mutations that occur in gliomas. After completing my bachelors, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Biochemistry.
